DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
Play DnD at Hi-Fidelity! Magic and Mystery! Adventure and Intrigue! What is that duck doing in this dungeon?
Come play a classic tabletop RPG with us on Sunday. We have the books, we have the dice, we don't have the miniatures because nine hells those are expensive!
Depending on player interest we have pre-built characters ready to roll right into Adventure. Or we'll spend some time and roll all new characters!
We meet on the first Sunday of the month at 7pm! Email dante@hifidelitybeer for more info.
(And feel free to come by early if you want to find out more)
COMICS AGAINST HUMANITY
Join Carlo Rojas as he hosts a variety of fun features of Comedy Night at Hi-Fidelity!
Comics Against Humanity: Is a combination of Trivia and Comedy Open Mic. Comics can sign up for 3-5 minute sets starting at 7pm and the audience plays trivia with answers in the style of Cards Against Humanity, so the right answer doesn’t necesarily award more points than a funny answer. Each round of trivia and comedians comes with a chance to win prizes!
INTERACTIVE: Groove space with space fog
Join us every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month 1pm-4pm at hi-fidelity (200 Anderson Street, Bay 6 Portland, Maine) Get to know your fellow musicians as we have a casual afternoon jam catered to all levels of experience. We will groove on simple digestible forms ranging anywhere from 1 chord to a 4 chord loop. Are we on the verse or the chorus? It doesn’t matter because each jam has a simple, repetitive, and predictable progression (we’re not even going to take it to the bridge). Respect your musical neighbors and leave space for the group to listen to each other and create something unique in the moment.
Poetry Night
We’ve had poems and short stories read at our popular music open mic, so we decided we should open up an evening dedicated to prose and other writing forms. Our artist community is open to all kinds, so wont you come share your work with us?
Every 2nd & 4th Sunday from 7pm - 10pm. Sign up sheet drops at 6:30pm.
PIRATE NIGHT w/ THE SHANK PAINTERS
Every fourth Friday we welcome the Shank Painters to our tasting room to fill our hearts with nautical folk tunes and sea shanties! This extremely talented quartet really know how to put on a show and always arrive with props, costumes, and a great sense of humor. There’s a reason why they have a monthly residency at Hi-Fidelity—you should come find out for yourself!
THE GREAT INDOOR BUSK w/ PLAGUE DAD
The relentless Old Port busking folk/punk duo Plague Dad has become a trio, adding a copper-bottomed stand-up Bassist, Mike Berkowitz, to finally become a real band! Or at least a trio with a warmer, fuller sound.
This indoor busk features the new twist on their already fully formed mix of originals, carefully curated reworking of public domain tunes, and occasional surprise covers.
Plague Dad aims, over the course of two sets at Hi Fidelity, to introduce new material as well. Fresh originals, deep covers, and unique added instrumentation.
In the spirit of Monday open mic’s at Hi fidelity there may also be the occasional guest performers for fun and profit.
In true busking style, the band has insited on playing for tips, so please, do your best to toss your dollars behind the bar and into their guitar case!

LADY PILLS // CONVINCED FRIEND // LISA/LIZA
LADY PILLS is the project of Providence-based Ella Boissonnault. The music combines elements of 90's indie and grunge with a more modern pop twist to create a driving and honest sound. Her most recent record, What I Want, was released February of 2022 via Plastic Miracles. The record was featured in The Boston Globe, WBUR, MTV, and New Noise Magazine. The record was nominated for 2 Boston Music Awards: Album of the Year and Alternative/Indie Artist of the Year.
CONVINCED FRIEND is the project of Providence-based Songwriter A.S. Wilson. Recorded at Big Nice Studios, their self-titled album (Released November '22 with Relief Map Records) embraced members of Nova One, and Burr resulting in a collection of largehearted indie rock songs that Various Small Flames has called:
"an intimate and attentive sound in the lineage of Jason Molina and David Bazan... pushing beyond the melancholic surface so common to indie rock, looking instead to explore the deep possibilities beneath."
The songs are marked by Wilson's time spent growing up in oilfield towns south of New Orleans - focused on the little indignities of love and work, with the sense of impermanence that comes with a home slowly sinking underwater.

SYMPOSIUM
Symposium: fellow drinker, from the Greek "sun-" meaning together and "potēs" meaning drinker.
What is it? An opportunity to gather and discuss the world we live in with friends and strangers, to explore new ideas, and uncover our own biases.
How does it work? We'll democratically elect a topic and explore the idea. The format will vary with participation but essentially everyone will get a chance to speak on the topic and to ask further questions.
What kind of topics? Anything and everything! Examples include, "What is a just war?" Or "Is art unique to the human animal?", or "What does it mean to have lived a good life?"
Conversations will be lightly moderated, but only to keep the tone one of congenial dialogue.
