INTERACTIVE: Groove space with space fog
Join us every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month 1pm-4pm at hi-fidelity (200 Anderson Street, Bay 6 Portland, Maine) Get to know your fellow musicians as we have a casual afternoon jam catered to all levels of experience. We will groove on simple digestible forms ranging anywhere from 1 chord to a 4 chord loop. Are we on the verse or the chorus? It doesn’t matter because each jam has a simple, repetitive, and predictable progression (we’re not even going to take it to the bridge). Respect your musical neighbors and leave space for the group to listen to each other and create something unique in the moment.
BRZOWSKI
New England post-rap mainstay BRZOWSKI has been making cerebrally engaging music since his 1st few widely distributed demos, and released his 1st proper solo album in 2006 to overwhelmingly positive reception via Maine’s MilledPavement Records. Combining incisive introspection, dark aesthetics, melodic yet creepy production palette, and expansive vocabulary. An indie stalwart with many noteworthy credits and over 1,000 live shows spanning 43 states and 9 countries, BRZOWSKI has a large body of verbose and politically-pointed musical output, and is no stranger to paying overage-miles on rental vehicles.
Mean Uncle BRZO has headlined myriad club tours in the US and EU, played a supporting role touring with Sole, Ceschi Ramos (of Codefendents), Awol One, Sage Francis, and Uncommon Nasa, alongside 1-offs with Billy Woods, Armand Hammer, Busy Bee, Atmosphere, El-P (Run The Jewels), Open Mike Eagle, Brother Ali, Ill Bill, Necro, Dälek, DDamage, and Cannibal Ox, to name a select few
Poetic Analysis coupled with Gallows Humor is a well-worn amalgam for this artist, but the biting criticism is coupled with a Lighthouse to guide us from the rocks: Possible Solutions. BRZOWSKI LinkTree

SYMPOSIUM
Symposium: fellow drinker, from the Greek "sun-" meaning together and "potēs" meaning drinker.
What is it? An opportunity to gather and discuss the world we live in with friends and strangers, to explore new ideas, and uncover our own biases.
How does it work? We'll democratically elect a topic and explore the idea. The format will vary with participation but essentially everyone will get a chance to speak on the topic and to ask further questions.
What kind of topics? Anything and everything! Examples include, "What is a just war?" Or "Is art unique to the human animal?", or "What does it mean to have lived a good life?"
Conversations will be lightly moderated, but only to keep the tone one of congenial dialogue.

Russell Kaback w/ Melvin Gradiz
Russell Kaback is a writer, singer, guitarist, performer, and educator. He was born in St. Louis, raised in Montreal, and currently lives in Maine. His full-bodied performances feature his strong and nuanced voice, and his agile and surprising guitar playing - all in service of carrying his truthful and solidly-built lyrics. His renditions of tunes by such influences as Sam Cooke, Talking Heads, and Madonna make sense in the mix with his own acoustic soul originals. Since first playing out in 1988, he has taken the stage alongside Regina Spektor, Caribbean folk-reggae legend Bankie Banx, and Raul Midon. Russell is currently performing in support of his new single, “What A Life This Is”, an uplifting and life-affirming soulful pop song.

WHITNEY WALKER // THE COPPER STILLS
Whitney Walker's (@whitneywalkermusic) band plays psychedelic gutter blues with southern gothic undertones in the vein of Tom Waits, Nick Cave, R.E.M., Pavement, Califone and many others. Walker recorded his last record, A Dog Staring into a MIrror on the Floor, during quarantine with a host of close friends in the Portland, Maine area and from years spent playing music around the country. These musicians include Dana Colley(Morphine, Vapors of Morphine), Will Bradford(SeePeoples, theWorst), Dan Capaldi(Sea Level, Cambiatta), Robert Mitchell(Moby, Today's the Day), and many others. When the pandemic ended the band started playing live in earnest. They have played regional shows in New England for the past two years and are working diligently on their second record, Duh, with a host of friends and collaborators.
