Our Open Mic Night has really taken off, so we’ve decided to use this platform to highlight some of our favorite local acts.

This week our featured artist is Russ Mason!
Russ (@russmason21) is both a songwriter and a song collector who's been performing for over fifty years, first at colleges in Illinois, then on stage at many of Nashville's well known music venues, including The Bluebird Cafe, Douglas Corner, and the Exit/In, and more recently in the Portland, ME area. Along the way Russ has co-written songs with Fred Koller, John Scott Sherrill, Cadillac Bob Holmes, Michael Kelsh, and others, including his son Neil, who's currently out on the road enjoying a grand musical adventure of his own as a member of Big Machine's band The Cadillac Three.
